Manchester United fans will take solace in the fact that they have agreed a fee for Mason Mount despite the takeover uncertainty, but it will not hide their frustrations at the length of the process.
United came to an agreement over a £60m fee for Mount on Thursday, with uncertainty over who will pay the midfielder's future wages doing little to hinder the process.
He will undergo a medical next week and Erik ten Hag will begin to move focus elsewhere as he continues his summer rebuild. As slow as it seems, the process of selling the club will be moving forward, and Sheikh Jassim's camp are becoming increasingly confident that their bid will come out on top.
The Qatari-backed bid is for 100% of the club and will rid it of debt. However a finance expert believes their bid has overvalued the club by around £2.5billion, based on the current share price.
