Manchester City booked their place in the Champions League final with a ruthless dismantling of Real Madrid in the second leg of their semi-final showdown at the Etihad Stadium this evening.
City, who last reached the final of this competition in 2021, built on last Tuesday's 1-1 first-leg draw at the Bernabeu when Kevin De Bruyne netted a brilliant equaliser after Vinicius Jr had powered the Spanish side in front in the first half.
Pep Guardiola's side have since moved a step closer towards retaining their Premier League crown, and victory over Madrid this evening keeps their hopes of clinching a famous treble alive.
They will now face Inter Milan in the final on Saturday, June 10 in Istanbul. City dominated proceedings from the start, with Thibaut Courtois producing two incredible saves from Erling Haaland before Bernardo Silva smashed in a thoroughly deserved opener.
