Kyogo takes Celtic teammates and Kevin Van Veen into Player of the Year battle as Japanese star hunts ANOTHER Treble

dailyrecord.co.uk

Kyogo Furuhashi is on the hunt for his THIRD Player of the Year trophy after being nominated alongside Celtic teammates and Motherwell striker Kevin Van Veen for the Scottish Football Writers Association's prestigious award.

The Japanese forward has already won the Hoops and PFA equivalents, and will now look to make it three out of three at an awards ceremony in Glasgow on May 28th.

He is nominated alongside Callum McGregor, who has captained Ange Postecoglou's Celtic side to League Cup and Premiership glory, while they will claim a treble if they win June's Scottish Cup final against Inverness CT.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has been a rock at the back in green and white and also gets the nod, replacing Reo Hatate in the only change from the PFA Scotland POTY nominees.
