Jamie McGrath a Hibs transfer target as Lee Johnson eyes move for former Dundee United winger

dailyrecord.co.uk

Hibs are considering a summer move for Jamie McGrath. The Republic of Ireland international caught Lee Johnson’s eye while on loan at Dundee United.

The 26-year-old has since returned to Wigan Athletic. He is in the final year of his contract but The Latics have just been relegated to League One.

There had been financial issues at the club and late payment of wages but those were resolved by Wednesday's takeover. Johnson has a few midfield options with McGrath amongst them.

Dundee United would be keen to get McGrath back but financially is likely to be out of their reach. The Irishman first made his name in Scotland at St Mirren under former boss Jim Goodwin.
