Aberdeen boss Barry Robson is set to add Peter Leven to his backroom staff. Robson wants to bring in the highly-respected coach to replace Liam Fox, who stepped down for family reasons at the end of the season.
Leven has a wealth of experience as assistant manager at Kilmarnock, Dynamo Brest and Orenburg. The 39-year-old was No. 2 to Lee McCulloch at Kilmarnock and had success in Belarus when he worked under Marcel Licka, as Brest qualified for the Champions League.
Leven last has a spell in Russia, under Licka again, where Orenburg won promotion to their top-flight. He has also had a stint at the Middlesbrough youth academy.
Leven would come in and assist Robson and Steve Agnew, replacing Fox who has now returned to Hearts as their B team head coach.
