Keanu Baccus in Hibs transfer link as St Mirren star assesses options after Bolton switch fell through

Keanu Baccus has been linked with Hibs after a move to Bolton fell through. The St Mirren star is entering the final year of his contract in Paisley and is attracting plenty of interest after making his international breakthrough last and starring for the Socceroos at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Baccus travelled to Lancashire this week for signing talks with the Trotters, but the club opted not to sign the 25-year-old.

That’s put other interested parties on alert and FTBL in Australia claim that Hibs are now keen to sign the midfielder. There is also interest from an unnamed English Championship club and it's understood Baccus’ preference is to try his luck down south rather than remain in the Scottish Premiership.

The Buddies are not giving up hope of persuading him to extend his stay with them however, as Stephen Robinson looks to build on last season's first ever top six finish.
