Erik ten Hag sack verdict delivered as Man United given clear instruction before Porto

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

Manchester Evening News readers believe that time is up for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United and the Dutchman should be dismissed following the 3-0 defeat against Tottenham.

United were thrashed at Old Trafford on Sunday courtesy of goals from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.

The result moved United down to 12th in the Premier League table, having won just two of their opening six matches. Alongside this, Ten Hag's side were also held to a 1-1 draw against FC Twente in their Europa League opener last Wednesday and the pressure is rising on the ex-Ajax boss.

Although United have insisted that the focus is firmly on Thursday's trip to Porto rather than Ten Hag's immediate future, there has been questions over his position.
