Breaking News: Napoli crowned Serie A champions first time in 33 years

Napoli have officially won the 2022-23 Serie A title and have been crowned champions of Italy for the first time since the 1989-90 season, having waited 33 years.

It could’ve already been celebrated last week with a win over Salernitana, but Boulaye Dia’s equaliser postponed the party.The Partenopei’s extraordinary season has ended a 33-year wait since their last league title, led by the illustrious Diego Maradona on the pitch and masterminded by Alberto Bigon from the dugout.

Victor Osimhen has led from the front, and with 21 goals from his 26 Serie A appearances this campaign, is on track to win the golden boot at the end of the season as well.
