Major police scene in Droylsden amid reports of 'stabbing' - live updates

A huge police cordon is in place after reports this lunchtime of a stabbing incident in Tameside. Police officers are at the scene and the police helicopter is said by witnesses to be circling the area overhead.

According to reports, emergency services are responding to reports of a serious incident - possibly a stabbing - in the Droylsden area. Reports from the scene suggest five police cars and a van are present, as well as the helicopter. The exact nature of the incident hasn't been confirmed and it's not known whether there have been any injuries.
