Aberdeen boss Barry Robson is keeping his fingers crossed that star striker Bojan Miovski will be fit for pre-season. The North Macedonian’s 18 goals in his first season helped the Dons clinch third place, but he damaged ankle ligaments against St Mirren on Wednesday.
Robson hopes a specialist will provide good news on Monday. He said: “We got a scan and while there are a lot of wee issues, we hope it’s not as bad as first feared.
We’ll find out more when he sees a specialist. Fingers crossed we’ll get him back sooner rather than later.” Meanwhile, Ryan Duncan has packed as much into his breakthrough season as some players manage in an entire career – and the Aberdeen kid isn’t finished yet.
When the final whistle blows at Parkhead today to bring to an end the Dons’ rollercoaster season that has seen them finish the best of the rest, the 19-year-old midfielder will start to pack his bags for Spain with Scotland Under-21s.
