A sensational return to Celtic for Kieran Tierney remains a tall order despite Arsenal shifting their stance on the unwanted defender.

Scotland star Tierney is out of the picture under Mikel Arteta and is one of seven stars the Gunners boss is looking to move on before the end of the window.

Long-time Newcastle links came to nothing after Eddie Howe opted to go and get Lewis Hall from Chelsea rather than splash out on a ready made left-back in Tierney.

Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out an attempt to bring Tierney back to his boyhood club. But Arsenal's asking price seemed to be proving prohibitive, as was their desire for a permanent transfer rather than a loan.

Pakistan Hockey Federation Bans Five Formers Players For Trying To Make Separate Federation
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday imposed a life ban on five former Olympians for trying to form a parallel body. PHF President Tariq Bugti said that former Olympian and internationals Nasir Ali, Khalid Bashir, Saleem Nazim, Abbas Ali and Haider Ali had been banned for life. "The PHF found them guilty of trying to run a parallel federation, stealing PHF records and using funds from a PHF account without approval," Bugti said. Since last year after Brigadier (retd) Sajjad Khokar was forced to resign as PHF chief after being in power for more than two terms, a power-struggle is going on between two groups to take control of the PHF.
