Gutted Nnamdi Ofoborh has spoken for the first time since leaving Rangers after he ended a frustrating spell at Ibrox. The midfielder arrived during the reign of Steven Gerrard alongside Jack Simpson, with both players signed from Bournemouth but the luckless midfielder did not manage a first-team appearance after a heart issue was discovered following his move to the Scottish Premiership.

Last week the player and club mutually agreed to cancel the 23-year-old's contract allowing him to pursue first-team opportunities elsewhere.

But after bringing the curtain down on his time at Ibrox Ofoborh has spoken for the first time in an emotional Instagram post.

It read: "To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates and fans, I thank you for your support over the past two years. I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever.
