Arsenal are ‘still in contact’ with Youri Tielemans’ agent despite the Emirates Stadium outfit failing to head to Leicester City with an official bid, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The Gunners have not been afraid to splash the cash this summer, with close to £90million being spent on the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, but a move for Tielemans could still be on the cards.

Arsenal appear to have already done plenty of groundwork when it comes to attempting to sign Tielemans as CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has previously told GIVEMESPORT that the central midfielder has agreed personal terms with the north Londoners.

Tielemans has been a long-term target for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta as transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed internal discussions have been held since January.

Leicester have slapped a £25million price tag on the 25-year-old as they are keen to cash-in before the summer window slams shut on September 1.
