A champagne bar and restaurant famous for its Alderley Edge venue has announced it is taking over the former Greens restaurant site in Sale's Stanley Square.

The Bubble Room has become a mainstay of the hospitality scene in the posh Cheshire village known for its footballers and celebrity residents.

In more recent years they took on a second site in Bramhall, and now the family-run business is to expand further into Greater Manchester with the venue in Sale.

Greens, the restaurant co-owned by Sunday Brunch star Simon Rimmer, announced the sad closure of its second site in Sale last month, after the shock news that its original West Didsbury restaurant was closing down in January. Gillespie admitted that the comments former players made in TV shows and Youtube channels indeed bruised the cricketers. “I'm very protective of players and very protective of staff I work with and just want to make sure that the environment that we're trying to create is a safe space for everyone and if that gets eroded then that can lead to a bit of frustration,” Gillespie told Sky Sports.
