Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has settled in quickly at the Emirates Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. The 56-cap Brazil international has starred in pre-season for the Gunners, and Jones is expecting him to continue having a massive impact on Mikel Arteta’s squad.
It’s easy to get carried away during pre-season, with games more about fitness rather than the results themselves. But it’s hard not to be impressed by the start Jesus has enjoyed since making the £45m move from Manchester City last month.
In his first game in red and white, Jesus needed less than 90 seconds to make his mark after coming off the bench to fire home against Nuremberg.
With Arsenal trailing 2-0 at half-time, the striker’s introduction, which saw him grab a second, was the catalyst for a 5-3 comeback win in the second half.
