Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta‘s previous relationship with Oleksandr Zinchenko should see him prove a success in north London, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The £59,000 per-week star is in the US ready to seal his move to the Emirates Stadium, where he will become the Spaniard’s fifth signing of the window.

Having struggled for regular game-time ever since signing for Manchester City in 2016, the versatile star is finally set to leave the Etihad Stadium and fulfil his own needs of becoming a regular starter.

Zinchenko has proved an important player under Pep Guardiola, making more than 100 appearances across his five years in Manchester, and has gone on to win four Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups and an FA Cup.

But with City set to sign Brighton & Hove Albion man Marc Cucurella, Zinchenko has been forced to seek pastures new and has chosen to reunite with Arteta, who he worked with for two-and-a-half years, before he was appointed Arsenal manager in December 2019.
