A car was torched in Bury and a man was seen running away

Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an arson attack in Bury. It comes after a car was torched on on the outskirts of the town centre.

Flames from the blaze, which completely destroyed the car, also spread to the door of a nearby building, causing minor damage.

Now police have released images of a man they would like to speak to as part of their investigation. They have also appealed for CCTV or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the arson attack. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting crime reference number CRI/06NN/0015148/24 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
