Archie Brown has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Rangers and Celtic. The Birmingham-born left back came through the academy ranks at Derby County, but opted to head to Lusanne in Switzerland two years ago in order to play regular first team football.
Now the Daily Mail reports that both Glasgow clubs have been checking out the defender, who turns 21 this weekend. With two years left on his contract, either would need to pay a fee to land Brown.
He’s been added to a list of targets at Ibrox as Michael Beale gets busy in the transfer market after a trophyless season in Govan.
Borna Barisic’s future at the club is far from guaranteed, while last summer’s £5million summer signing Ridvan Yilmaz has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Besiktas.
