WWE: Hugely popular name rejected offer to return under Triple H

WWE offered Renee Paquette a deal to return to the company, but she had no interest in doing so, it has been claimed.

Triple H recently continued his shake-up of WWE by making several changes to the commentary and wider broadcast teams for Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

However, it seems like the new make-up of the broadcast teams isn’t what ‘The Game’ was originally planning.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Triple H attempted to bring Renee Paquette (formerly Renee Young) back into the company recently.

Meltzer explained in his Sports Illustrated column that Paquette had no interest in coming back to WWE, so rejected the company’s offer for her return.

WWE had contacted her to return as it shook up its announcing teams this past week for the new television season, which started Friday night. When she turned down the offer, those in WWE had noted that they believed she was headed to AEW.

The report explains that people within WWE are of the belief that Paquette turned down their offer because she’s heading to AEW.

Paquette is married to AEW Champion Jon Moxley, and it’s believed that she’s coming into the company as part of her husband signing his new five-year deal.

Variety originally reported on several commentary team changes made by Triple H, which WWE later confirmed.
