Alexia Putellas documentary: Release date, trailer & how to watch new TV series

Amazon Prime Video has revealed that a documentary on Spanish football star Alexia Putellas will be released later this year.

The TV series will include interviews with some of the sport’s most renowned players and managers, including Aitana Bonmati, Robert Lewandowski and Xavi.

Putellas plays for Barcelona as well as the Spanish national team and is regarded as one of the best footballers on the planet.

The 28-year-old is Spain’s most-capped player ever and has made almost 400 appearances for Barca since joining in 2012.

As of now, she has the second most all-time appearances for Barcelona and is their second top scorer ever, after former striker Jenni Hermoso.

Putellas is also the current holder of the Women’s Ballon d’Or and is the reigning UEFA Women’s Player of the Year.

An exact date for release has not been announced, but we do know the title of the series.

The show will be called: ‘Alexia: Labor Omnia Vincit’ and will be in three parts.

The show will shed a light on Putellas’ remarkable rise from an aspirational child to a football superstar.

Many of Putellas’ teammates and coaches share their thoughts on the midfielder, including current Barcelona head coach Jonatan Giraldez and former coach Xavi Llorens.

Putellas missed Euro 2022 earlier this summer with an ACL injury and remains out of action.

However, she is still favoured by many to win the Ballon d’Or Féminin for the second year in a row.

Indeed, the 28-year-old inspired her team to a domestic treble
