WWE: Retired wrestler rejected Triple H's efforts to have them return under him

WWE tried to bring Saraya (Paige) back to the company, promising to do his best to let her wrestler.

Saraya debuted for AEW last month, but WWE tried their best to bring her back into the company, according to Fightful.

And a new report from the site has revealed the extent that Triple H went to in order to try and convince her to come back to WWE.

A new report from Fightful Select has revealed why Paige left WWE, what Triple H offered her to return, and why she decided to join AEW instead.

First off, Fightful is reporting that Vince McMahon had no interest in re-signing Paige when her deal came up, despite the fact she was on a relatively small contract, in terms of pay.

Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis chose to not renew her deal when it expired. Those that we spoke to said that Saraya's deal was surprisingly low.

In fact, the report goes on to say that Paige told WWE that she'd been cleared by three external doctors, but McMahon had absolutely no interest in letting her wrestle.

WWE didn't have her checked for a return, and Saraya actually went through three extensive health checks to gain clearance for an in-ring return herself. We're even told that WWE wasn't interested in bringing her back prior to the new regime, and wouldn't sign off on X-Rays to have her examined

Fightful is also reporting that Triple H, as expected, made a play to bring Saraya back into the company before she joined AEW.

The report notes that she was offered the role of General Manager within the company, but with a view of eventually transitioning back into a wrestling role in the future.
