Will Philippe Clement get Rangers transfer warchest and where do Celtic need to add quality? Saturday Jury
FRASER WILSON: Why was Michael Beale allowed free rein to make such a hash of the last one. How have the wages been allowed to rocket. And what sort of role is Graeme Souness likely to play?
SCOTT BURNS: Will Clement have funds available to try and bridge the gap on Celtic and are the club any closer with regards bringing in another sporting director?
MICHAEL GANNON: The Gers board need to reveal the plan to find the dosh to fund the manager’s plans in January and beyond, when it looks like a cash shortfall is on the way in the second half of the season.
FRASER: I still think there’s a need for a third quality striker to take the load off Kyogo and Oh at times. A ready-made dominant central defender would probably be the best addition Rodgers could make though.
SCOTT: I still think he needs a few –another genuine quality centre-forward, a top defensive midfielder for Europe and another quality centre-forward to take some of the burden off Kyogo. Long-term I also feel they need a goalkeeper.
MICHAEL: In the short-term not that much really. Longer term a couple of full backs, another striker and wide man. A midfield bruiser wouldn’t go amiss either.
FRASER: It’s hard to imagine him in any other shirt than Motherwell’s but they will struggle to afford him. He would boost Hibs and Hearts – especially as both sides favour a front two – but how would he handle not being guaranteed a start every week?
SCOTT: There should be a number of clubs but you can’t see the door opening for him at any of the big clubs. They all look well-stocked at the top end and he isn’t going to get into the Rangers or Celtic teams. The ideal scenario would be a Motherwell return.
MICHAEL: It would be superb if Motherwell could get him back but
