Philippe Clement rules out Rangers transfer revolution as he tells stars they are in Ibrox battle for relevancy
Rangers boss Philippe Clement has ruled out an Ibrox transfer revamp but he is hell-bent on making the right calls when the window opens.
The Ibrox side are feeling the effects of a misfiring summer window before the former Monaco boss arrived in Glasgow. Michael Beale's rebuild has yet to yield results with a trio of signings in Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Jose Cifuentes all struggling mightily to adapt to the demands which come with starring in Light Blue.
And now Clement – speaking at the club's training base before the AGM – has told supporters to expected evolution rather revolution in January. He said: "Reshaping it in January is much more difficult than in the summer, that's the reality in football with every club so I'm realistic about that. First we need to make a good assessment about that. It's not good, fair or honest to do it in six weeks, that's really short to make decisions around that.
"Until January and even in January players have the time to prove themselves that they are the right men for the club and position. It's an open battle in that way to show themselves."
