Ryan Kent watches Rangers ally 'intensify' Fenerbahce transfer mission as Philippe Clement issued 'step back' question

Ryan Kent is said to be interested in utilising a former Rangers ally to end his Fenerbahce spell - with Nottingham Forest's pursuit of the winger reportedly intensifying.

Former Ibrox director of football Ross Wilson is currently chief football officer at the City Ground and Turkish outlet Millyet say the English Premier League side are ready to make an formal approach. It is stated that Forest are "intensifying" their search for wingers with the January window rapidly approaching with a "rental plan" being sent to Istanbul in a bid to bring the 27-year-old to the club.

The loan deal would see the end of a nightmare spell at Fenerbahce - with the latest chapter arriving in the 6-1 Europa Conference League humiliation at the hands of Danish minnows FC Nordsjælland. The former Light Blues winger has been limited to appearances off the bench or in Europe - but fans have began to turn on the Englishman following his lacklustre contribution to the embarrassment.

And while Rangers do not appear to be considering a move to bring Kent back to the club - pundit Stephen McGinn has questioned why boss Philippe Clement would not want a player like Kent back at Ibrox.
