'We have a few days' - Thomas Tuchel drops Bayern Munich transfer hint amid links to Man United's Scott McTominay

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has sent a transfer warning to his bosses in Bavaria amid reported interest in Scott McTominay.

Bayern have emerged as a surprise potential destination for McTominay, with the serial Bundesliga winners keen to add a more defensive profile to their midfield unit. They are said to be big fans of the Scotland international, who has fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag.

Tuchel is keen to add a more defensive profile to his team, with reports suggesting he would be open to selling United target Ryan Gravenberch in order to fund a late move. The German currently has Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer in that area but was asked about links to a holding option on Sunday.

"You play with the players you have," Tuchel admitted before his side's 3-1 win over Augsburg. "We only have three central midfielders who can play a key defensive role for us.

It doesn't take much reading between the lines to see that Tuchel would be open to adding another central midfielder to his ranks between now and Friday. And the German echoed the point after full-time on Sunday as well.

"I've been asked about this five times now," He insisted in his post-match press conference. "I said we only have three central midfielders who can play the holding midfield role, the moment someone gets injured, we'll only have two.

"And we play with a double pivot. So it's all a matter
