The bulk of their £150million-plus summer spend went to Tottenham, with Harry Kane leaving the Premier League in search of trophies. He has taken to life in Germany well, with four goals in as many Bundesliga games.

"It's going to be a really good game, a tough game," Kane said after Friday's draw. "Obviously Manchester United are a big team and have some quality players, so we'll need to prepare well. Every game in the Champions League is tough so we'll expect nothing less on Wednesday."

Manager Thomas Tuchel said after the game that the German international had an inflamed tendon, with the medical staff warning against playing more than 60 minutes.
