Strictly Come Dancing's Luba Mushtuk sends emotional message to Adam Thomas after 'let down' remarks

Strictly Come Dancing pro Luba Mushtuk has sent an emotional message to her celebrity dance partner Adam Thomas after he told her he had 'let her down' during Saturday night's live show.

The Waterloo Road actor took to the dancefloor with Luba to perform a dramatic Tango to the song Somebody Told Me by The Killers. The couple earned 23 points and received some positive feedback from the judges, including Motsi Mabuse who said the former Emmerdale star had been “more engaged” this week.

However, Adam couldn't help but hold back tears as he spoke to Claudia Winkleman backstage following the performance. Turning to Luba, he told her: "I tried my hardest and I just feel like I let you down tonight."

A downbeat Adam later took to Instagram to share his thoughts on his performance. "That was a bad one," he said. "I know you're supposed to look at the positives and I'm trying but I just thought it was just going to go a little better than I planned."

But, Luba insisted he had not let her down, and today took to her own social media page to pay an emotional tribute to the star. Alongside a photo of the pair dressed up in their ballroom outfits - Adam sporting a zig-zag patterned black and white shirt and Luba in an elegant black and white dress with lace details and a splash of lime green - she started her post by simply saying: "This man."

Luba continued: "I can say so much about how incredible this man is , but I will just say this... [Adam] is the power, the strength, the realness, humbleness, positivity, joy, talent and so so much more that I’m lucky to get to know."
