BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'seriously think' after Kai Widdrington's sweet message to Angela Rippon before wardrobe malfunction

Strictly Come Dancing star Kai Widdrington's sweet message to his dance partner Angela Rippon has been uncovered - moments before she suffered a momentary wardrobe malfunction. The legendary newsreader and journalist left jaws on the dancefloor again on Saturday night (October 14) as she returned to the ballroom.

Angela and Kai performed a fierce Rumba to Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst during week four of the BBC One dance contest to rapturous reviews from viewers. And they wowed the judges too, scoring 31 points for the notoriously difficult dance, leaving them just second from the top of the leader board.

Anton du Beke said it was "exactly the sort of rumba I like" while head judge Shirley Ballas said "I am shocked, it is beautiful" and Craig Revel Horwood added: "I absolutely loved it!" Motsi Mabuse also told Angela: "I feel like you are just a message for all women out there, saying, 'Don't stop, life is good.'"

And it wasn't just the judges who were pleased with the performance as Kai rushed to praise Angela when the music ended. As the pair finished their latest spectacular routine, professional dancer Kai embraced his celebrity partner and whispered: "You legend. You absolute legend."

But Angela, who celebrated her 79th birthday this week, suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she left the dance floor to receive feedback from the judges. She appeared to get stuck as host Tess Daly rushed over to help, asking: "Is that your shoe honey? Are you alright?"
