Rangers squad revealed as Fabio Silva primed amid SIX absentees and Hibs hyped over double boost

Rangers boss Philippe Clement won't find any Sunshine on Leith amid the downpour but is seeking to avoid added gloom as he deals with a lengthy absentee list.

Connor Goldson is suspended. Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe and Danilo are all out through injury. Kieran Dowell has undergone a successful operation after picking up a problem at the club’s training camp in Spain. Abdallah Sima – who was starring at the AFCON with Senegal – is also stuck on the sidelines due to an injury which is feared to be lengthy, months rather than weeks. Ryan Jack and Tom Lawrence came off the bench against Dumbarton in the Cup but it appears a big ask for either to start. Fabio Silva and Rabbi Matondo are primed for regular Rangers game time with the absentee list rising. Scott Wright caught the eye against Dumbarton and will hope to feature.

And the emboldened hosts could hand debuts to two of their marquee arrivals which Nick Montgomery hopes provides a jolt. Hibernian are set to include new attackers Emiliano Marcondes and Myziane Maolida for the first time, as long as the relevant paperwork arrives in time. They are still without eight players, however, as Martin Boyle, Lewis Miller, Jojo Wollacott and Rocky Bushiri remain on international duty and Josh Campbell (ankle), Adam Le Fondre (hamstring), Jake Doyle-Hayes (ankle) and Chris Cadden (Achilles) are still recovering from injury.
