Rangers legal 'experts' have gone quiet now but Ibrox club have missed the mark with 2 outgoing transfers - Hotline
Rangers have cinched their bitter row with the SPFL after forcing league chiefs into apologising for the bitter sponsorship bust-up.
But the Ibrox outfit’s supporters reckon the humiliating climbdown should lead to an even bigger prize for Gers – the removal of league chairman Murdoch MacLennan and chief exec Neil Doncaster from their perch on Hampden’s sixth floor. Chris Lowe, Yoker, said: "Surely the two running our game into the ground have to go now? Only Rangers are attempting to clean up Scottish football.
“The other clubs appear quite happy to go along with the mess we’re in. No doubt this ‘SPFL review body' will convey that Doncaster and MacLennan are doing a marvellous job. Scottish football stinks and will continue to do so with these people at the helm.”
Stuart McLeod, Stepps, added: “A whole host of so-called football and legal experts had already passed judgement on the cinch deal. Now that the SPFL have had to pay the damages and apologise, do you think people may now wait until the facts have been heard before rushing to their conclusions?
“Ironically without displaying a single cinch logo inside Ibrox, Rangers look like becoming the biggest beneficiaries of this sponsorship deal – more proof if ever needed that Neil Doncaster and his cronies are not fit for purpose.”
It was a major win off the park for the Light Blues and the Ibrox punters are getting increasingly confident about their prospects on it having welcomed seven new recruits this summer.
John Bruce called to say: “It appears Chris Sutton is now seeing what every Rangers fan is seeing - an Ibrox side strengthened all over the park with more quality to come whilst his team have taken the cheap option of tying down players who were already there.
