Manchester United might still have a way to sign Erik ten Hag's 'dream' striker
There is a strange feeling at Manchester United. Not only have they managed to sign their top targets in the summer transfer window, they've also managed to sign them quickly.
Erik ten Hag made it his mission to reinforce the spine of his squad with top-quality players this summer, and it already looks like that has been a success with his first three arrivals.
Andre Onana will be the first-choice goalkeeper, Mason Mount will play a prominent role in midfield, and Rasmus Hojlund is the only natural centre-forward at the club.
It will be a while before we can truly gauge the success of United's three recruits, though there is at least reason to celebrate the way in which United got them signed a week before the new season starts.

The most fascinating will be Hojlund. He might not have the most formidable scoring record, but he possesses all the raw attributes to become one of the very best in the world.
He is quick, intelligent, and offers a physical presence in the forward line. He has an ambitious personality, is hungry to score goals, and could be the perfect fit for Ten Hag's style of play given his tendency to make runs from deep and his ability to lead the press.
It is all only potential, though. United's investment will only be justified if they can extract the obvious ability that is there and shape Hojlund into the world-class striker that he has the potential to become.
The 20-year-old might need a few more years before he is up to the standard to lead the line on a regular basis, but United didn't have much other choice but to take a gamble on him now rather than risk losing out on him altogether.
