Man United 'continue Rasmus Hojlund talks' as €60million target set and more transfer rumours

Manchester United and Atalanta will continue discussing the potential transfer of Rasmus Hojlund but the two clubs are around €20million apart in their respective valuations, according to reports.

Hojlund enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the Italian side, scoring nine times in 32 Serie A appearances. The 20-year-old was far more prolific for his native Denmark, with six goals from four matches this calendar year.

United manager Erik ten Hag sees a new striker as the absolute priority this summer, identifying Hojlund among several potential options. Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen were of interest but are thought to be financially out of reach, with the Atalanta star expected to cost less.

However, 90min reports that while talks are ongoing between United and Atalanta, there remains a gap in valuations. The Serie A side are said to want around €80million for the young forward, with the Reds eyeing a deal closer to €60million. Ten Hag's side are having to be strong in negotiations, having seen around half of their reported £120m budget head to Stamford Bridge for Mason Mount.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail reports that Bayern Munich will return with a second bid for Kane this week and hope £80million plus add-ons will be enough.

The German side had previously seen a £60million offer rejected by Tottenham for the striker, who has been a long-term target of Ten Hag. The Reds boss has been working under the assumption that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not entertain offers, however, and has moved
