Manchester United 'name their maximum offer' for Rasmus Hojlund and other transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly not willing to spend any more than £60m to bring Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford.

According to Football Insider, United sources believe a price between £50m and 60m is fair for the 20-year-old who scored 10 goals in his debut season for the Serie A club. With the budget tight at the Theatre of Dreams, Ten Hag is understood to be wary of overpaying for the Denmark international.

However, should Atalanta not be willing to sell for £60m, the Reds could be in a difficult position. Speaking earlier this week, Atalanta's boss, Gian Piero Gasperini, revealed how much he thought the striker was worth.

He said: "I don’t know if he’s leaving, the market is unpredictable. I hope for the club they get €80, 90, 100m. The market value changes. But among the young emerging players in his role, if not the best, he is among the best in Europe."

MEN Sport understands Hojlund is now Ten Hag's top transfer target, with the club aware a move for Harry Kane is unlikely to come to fruition.

Elsewhere, Fichajes reports United, Liverpool and Manchester City are all weighing up a move for Bayern Munich's World Cup winner Joshua Kimmich.

The 28-year-old midfielder has another two years left on his contract at the Allianz Arena but it is being reported Bayern are not willing to entertain offers at present.

Should Ten Hag wish to strengthen his midfield further this summer, there are certainly worse options than Kimmich, who has established himself as a key player at the Bavarian club after joining from RB Leipzig.
