Man City stance on Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson transfer links amid 'agreed terms' claim

Manchester City are calm over reports that Kevin De Bruyne has agreed terms with Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad, while the club are holding firm on their valuation of goalkeeper Ederson.

City are in the USA for their pre-season tour and woke up on Sunday to reports that talisman De Bruyne has agreed terms with the Saudi outfit.

Earlier this summer, De Bruyne twice admitted he would consider a lucrative offer from a Saudi club as it would change his family's life, but also said at the start of the month that he will return to City ahead of the new season and he had no contact from any club over a transfer at the time.

City are understood to be calm over the latest reports, and are not expecting Al Ittihad to make a move, or for De Bruyne to leave - especially in light of his previous comments. He is set to return to the City Football Academy on August 5 after an extended break ahead of the new season.

Al Ittihad have also just signed midfielder Houssem Aouar from Roma to take their quota of foreign players to six, out of a maximum eight, with other central players linked as well as De Bruyne. The Belgian has a year left on his contract and could instead leave next summer on a free transfer, ten years after arriving at the Etihad.

Meanwhile, there has been contact between City and Al Ittihad over goalkeeper Ederson, but the Blues will remain firm on their valuation of the Brazilian. Al Nassr had a £25m bid rejected for Ederson recently, before moving for Roma goalkeeper Bento instead.
