Man City handed Dani Olmo transfer boost as midfielder's exit strategy 'emerges'

Manchester City have been given a major boost in their attempt to sign Dani Olmo this summer. Speculation over the Euro 2024 winner and his future with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig is at fever pitch.

Olmo was a shining light for La Roja in Germany this summer, scoring three goals and providing two assists. In turn, the 26-year-old playmaker - who played for Espanyol and Catalan giants Barcelona as a youngster - has been thrust back onto the radar for top European clubs with a return move to the Camp Nou mooted.

He has totted-up 107 appearances in the Bundesliga, contributing to 41 goals, having joined the German outfit for a fee worth €29million in January 2020. That came after five years with Dinamo Zagreb.

Elsewhere, reports from Give Me Sport reckon Kevin De Bruyne could pitch up in the MLS when he eventually opts to leave City. Despite heavy-handed claims he could join the lucrative Saudi Pro League this summer, Pep Guardiola says his long-term talisman is 'going nowhere' as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his contract.
