M60 traffic LIVE updates after vehicles STOPPED following crash

Queues have built up after drivers were held on the M60 in Tameside following a crash.

Vehicles were briefly stopped on the anticlockwise carriageway near junction 24, at Denton, this afternoon (November 2).

Matrix signs on the road are warning drivers of an 'accident' on the road.

Google traffic data shows heavy traffic in both directions approaching the crash scene.

Queues are stretching back past junction 25 at Bredbury on the anticlockwise carriageway.

Traffic was backing up towards junction 23 at Ashton on the opposite side of the motorway.

The incident involved two cars, which were later moved to the hard shoulder.

Traffic has since been released, but queues remain.
