Alan Sheehan sacked LIVE updates as Swansea City part company with boss

Swansea City are set to part company with Alan Sheehan.

WalesOnline understands the club have made the decision to dismissed the Swans head coach from his post after a disappointing start to the season.

The 4-1 defeat to Ipswich Town left the Swans with just two wins from 11 league outings, and condemned City to their worst start to a league season since relegation from the Premier League.

Sheehan was initially expected to oversee the trip to Bristol City after the international break, but the club have now decided to go in a different direction during this international break.

It remains to be seen where City will turn for a replacement. Swedish boss Kim Hellberg was previously in the running shortly before they opted for Sheehan, but it's not clear if he will be in the running again.
