Luke Amos offered Hibs transfer chance as ex QPR and Tottenham man looks to win Easter Road deal

Hibs are considering a move for Luke Amos.

The defensive midfielder has been a free agent since he left Queen's Park Rangers in the summer. The 26-year-old is now over an injury issue and is looking to win a deal. Amos had been training with his former club Tottenham Hotspur. Sources close to their under-23 team have confirmed that Amos has now been offered the chance to win a deal with Hibs. Hibs boss Nick Montgomery is looking to strengthen his squad.

The Easter Road club were hopeful that pending investment from Bournemouth owner Billy Foley would be ratified by the Scottish Football Association this month but that now looks like it will drag into February. The Cherries chief wants to buy a stake in Hibs and then invest and put some of their young talent up to the capital. Hibs have already made one move in the transfer window.

Montgomery has already moved to sign winger Myziane Maolida on loan from Hertha Berlin and wants to add more before the close of the window. Amos has a solid pedigree having come through the ranks at Spurs.

The former England youth cap also had loans at Southend, Stevenage and Queen's Park Rangers before he joined the R's permanently in 2020.
