Emiliano Marcondes Hibs transfer ‘close’ as Bournemouth connection sees Danish striker head to Easter Road

Bournemouth striker Emiliano Marcondes is reportedly on his way to Edinburgh to seal a move to Hibs.

The Danish attacker hasn't played for Bournemouth this season due to injury and is free to leave with just six months to run on his contract. He joined the Cherries from Brentford in 2021 and helped them gain promotion to the Premier League but has since fallen out of the picture and spent the second half of last season back on loan at Nordsjaelland, where he started his career. It comes as Bournemouth owner Bill Foley is in talks to buy a stake in Hibs with that deal expected to be ratified by the SPFL.

Speaking after his side's Scottish Cup win over Forfar, Montgomery said: "Myself and Brian McDermott are on the phone every single day. We were really close to a defender last
