Gio van Bronckhorst in life after Rangers confession that could see him NEVER manage again

Former Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has hinted his managerial career could be over because he's enjoying his life too much now.

The ex-Ibrox player and manager was lined up to take charge of Turkish club Besiktas earlier this month, but the move collapsed after a breakdown in negotiations. And, 14 months after he was sacked by Rangers, the former Barcelona ace admits he's in absolutely no rush to return to the front line of football any time soon.

He said: "After my departure as manager at Rangers, I received offers from lots of other clubs, but it is nice to now be able to just say no. On average, I am active for Dutch TV and UEFA three days a week when the Champions League is on and also at the weekend. I really enjoy being able to spend longer with my wife Marieke and two sons.

"We eat together three or four times a week, which has been great. We have never had that in recent years. Either I was away, or I had to train. We now have a lot of time together as a family and no one can take that away from us.”

And the 48-year-old revealed how he's able to spent more time working with the Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation, which he set up with his wife 12 years ago, for children with disabilities.

He explained: "We decided to set up that club in 2012. Children aged from seven and eight with learning disabilities work on their self-confidence and future through an education and sports program. The aim is to give them a good start in secondary education and to make children captains so they can create their own future.”
