LIVE: Police tape off house after incident - updates

Emergency services have taped off a house in Bury following a police incident.

Officers are at the property on Butterstile Lane in Prestwich on Wednesday (March 19) with a cordon in place. The exact nature of the incident is not yet clear.

Witnesses report seeing crime scene investigators (CSI) at the house on Wednesday morning as detectives work to gather evidence.

The M.E.N. understands the incident took place on Tuesday evening (March 18). Neighbours have reported first seeing police at the scene late last night.

Police are going 'door to door' at properties around the one at the centre of the probe to conduct enquiries.

Forensic teams are taking scans of the house using a LiDAR scanner for further investigation.
