LIVE: Police tape off busy road next to Aldi supermarket - updates

Officers have closed off a busy junction near to Rochdale town centre.

Police are in attendance this morning (April 2) at the junction of Molesworth Street, John Street and Entwistle Road, near to the Aldi supermarket.

Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service are understood to be in attendance.

An area has been taped off by police and people are being advised to avoid the area.

Further details about the nature of the incident are not yet known.

Emergency services have been approached for further information.
