LIVE as Swinton police station taped off after man seriously hurt
An emergency response has been launched at Swinton police station amid a serious incident.
Emergency vehicles are at the scene after a man was seriously hurt. It is understood his injuries were self-inflicted.
A cordon is in place. Images show an ambulance outside, with paramedics using a stretcher.
The Manchester Evening News has contacted Greater Manchester Police, the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for comment.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 12.25pm today, officers were called to assist after a man sustained serious injuries outside Swinton Police Station.
"He received potentially life-changing injuries and has been taken to hospital for further treatment. An officer sustained a minor injury as they assisted him.
"There is no wider risk to the public and this is being treated as an isolated incident.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing and work is taking place to fully establish the circumstances."
One local businessman told our reporter that he was made aware of a police altercation when he heard shouting.
The eye-witness said the he heard the man shouting that he 'didn’t trust the police' before setting himself on fire and then running away.
The businessman said he saw pour a substance on him and that police officers then ran off the man to assist him.
