Man United transfer news LIVE - Xavi Simons claim, Liam Delap 'talks', Antony latest

Manchester United will already have started working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth but successful summer transfer window as the current campaign peters to an end.

The Reds have been linked with a host of strikers amid the possibility the club dip into the market to strengthen their attacking options. Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike, Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen are just a few of the names that have circled around.

In terms of outgoings, four players will be out of contract at the end of June. Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans look to depart Old Trafford as free agents.

Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Reports have suggested the Spanish giants have been monitoring Fernandes and have sent representatives to 'virtually every' match as they line up a shock move for the Portuguese.

Elsewhere, the future of Antony is also up in the air following a loan move to Real Betis earlier this year. The Brazilian has rediscovered his form in Spain and has quickly become a fan favourite.

Betis could look to make the deal permanent but may face competition from other clubs who are also monitoring his situation. United are reputedly looking for a fee in the region of £40million.

Man United have held internal discussions over a potential summer move for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, claims the Mail.

Delap is thought to have a release clause in the region of £40m if Ipswich are relegated from the Premier League. This figure is more affordable than the likes of Hugo Ekitike and Viktor Gyokeres who are valued closer to £80m.
