Leicester City Premier League fixtures 'leaked' ahead of big reveal

A 'leaked' copy of the 2022/23 Premier League fixtures have been circulating across social media ahead of Thursday's official big reveal.

City will participate in their ninth season in the top flight since winning the Championship in 2014 and will look to build on last season's eighth-place finish. The Premier League fixtures are announced on 9am on Thursday morning, with supporters up and down the nation prepared to learn who their team will face on the opening day of the campaign, at Christmas and on the final weekend.

Like most seasons, a 'leaked' fixture list has reached the millions of top flight supporters online. However, the validity of the list remains doubtful for plenty of reasons. There are no midweek games in the leak, despite there being fixtures scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 1.

The list also misses out the international break in September that will see England face Italy and Germany in their remaining Nations League games ahead of the World Cup.

Brendan Rodgers side have already started their preparations for next season with a pre-season friendly at sister club OH Leuven in Belgium in July already confirmed, with details of the Foxes' summer plans reported by LeicestershireLive.

Last season, City started with a 1-0 win over Wolves before suffering a thumping 4-1 defeat at West Ham United. This term, there is no European football to contend with for Rodgers and his squad, meaning more focus is set to be placed in domestic competitions.
