Jefte to 'complete' Rangers transfer as fresh details emerge with Philippe Clement ready to land his man

Rangers are set to complete a deal for Jefte as Philippe Clement gets down to business.

The Light Blues have been admirers of the left-back since the turn of the year and they are now ready to get a deal over the line, reports well-respected transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. He states that the defender is on his way to take on his medical checks with the Ibrox club before putting pen to paper on a contract. Left-back has been a priority position for the Belgian boss with Borna Barisic set to leave the club.

The Croatia international is out of contract and is free to discuss a transfer to other clubs. Ridvan Yilmaz has impressed when fit on the left but he has had a number of injury concerns with Jefte bringing more depth and competition to the area once again for next season.
