Yusuf Kabadayi ‘concrete’ Rangers transfer interest as path cleared for Steven Alzate deal - Ibrox bulletin

Rangers are reportedly chasing a deal for Bayern Munich prospect Yusuf Kabadayi this summer.

Philippe Clement has vowed that there will be a major overhaul this summer with Mohamad Diomande, Jefte and Oscar Cortes all penning deals with the club in recent weeks - and the Scottish Premiership side are now said to hold "concrete" interest in 20-year-old Kabadayi this summer. The 20-year-old was handed his first professional contract by the Bundesliga giants last summer before making the move loan switch to Schalke.

The attacker impressed in the German second tier with Sky Germany reporting that Schalke had wanted to exercise their option to buy – but "the overall package was too expensive" leaving the door open for a move elsewhere. Rangers are said to have joined the list of interested clubs alongside St. Pauli and Lecce. The player is contracted to Bayern until 2025 and is said to be in talks over what his next move will be.

The report notes that "everything is possible" with the player. This includes "a direct sale, loan with an option to buy, a loan with a new contract with Bayern."

Elsewhere, Steven Alzate will leave Brighton at the end of the month having previously linked with Rangers. He joined the Seagulls in 2017 and made 72 appearances in all competitions for the EPL side - but has spent the last two years with Standard Liege on loan in Belgium.
