'I still feel like he's somewhere' - Jay Slater's best friend reveals pal's last words before he vanished

The best friend of missing Jay Slater has described how he saw the teen scrambling down a hillside during a video call before saying 'I'll call ya back' as he appeared to answer another call. Jay hasn't been seen since.

The 19-year-old from Lancashire has been missing since June 17, when he disappeared in the mountains of north west Tenerife. He had stayed at an Airbnb rental the night before but was then said to have walked off alone in a remote part of the Island.

Since his disappearance, huge rescue efforts have been carried out involving members of the Civil Guard, fire crews and mountain rescue teams in the Rural de Teno Park.

As the search entered its 12th day, Jay's best friend Brad today (Friday) described how he saw his pal clambering down a rocky hillside in a video call.

Traquair said: "You said you could see his feet and he was sort of sliding down the hill?"

Brad replied: "Yeah, that’s how I knew he went off the road because I could hear like when you
