"I'm told" - Journalist says West Ham now have "real interest" in 28 y/o Championship left-back

West Ham United have ‘real interest’ in Burnley defender Charlie Taylor as manager David Moyes looks for further reinforcements, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Hammers have already brought in Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd and Flynn Downes this summer with several more fresh faces expected to arrive at the London Stadium.

Jones has informed GiveMeSport that West Ham are ‘looking for fresh options’ on the left-hand-side of defence and that Taylor is a player of interest to them.

He told GMS: “We know West Ham are looking for fresh options on the left side of defence, and I’m told they have real interest in Burnley’s Charlie Taylor.

“It’s an especially interesting one to crop up because Burnley have been looking to sign a left-back on loan.”

Taylor, who has two years remaining on his current £47,000-per-week contract, has bags of Premier League experience under his belt.

The 28-year-old made 30 appearances in the top-flight last term as Burnley
