West Ham now 'optimistic' £15m deal will 'get over line' at London Stadium

West Ham United are ‘optimistic’ that they will sign Filip Kostic after Gianluca Scamacca completes his big-money move to the London Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Scamacca is set to become the Hammers’ latest recruit after a £35.5million fee was agreed with Italian side Sassuolo, but it appears the spending will not stop there.

West Ham have launched a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Kostic, with the proposal understood to be worth £15million.

The transfer insider believes the Hammers are growing in confidence that they will secure the 29-year-old’s services.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I think it’s probably looking at a stage where it will happen.

“I’d say it’s definitely getting close to a time when West Ham can be optimistic of getting it over the line.”

West Ham saw at close quarters just how effective Kostic can be as he played all 180 minutes as
